COVID-19 Statement

Statement - Coronavirus (COVID-19)

09/06/2020

Unisto is continuing to monitor developments with respect to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). For our UK sales and distribution organisation we have taken steps to comply with our government's guidelines including, working from home, travel restrictions and applying our long practiced continuity plans.

We have a team that is working to determine the appropriate measures that should be taken during this event. This team continues to guide our actions as government advice and rules change in order to maintain our business continuity including IT, procurement, manufacturing and all supply chain functions.

Supply Chain and Customer Impacts:

As you are aware, the entire global supply chain has been impacted due to the coronavirus pandemic, which led to large-scale disruption in distribution services. This is now starting to return to normal although please be aware some airfreight and shipping charges are now much higher than they were previously due to reduced capacity.

Delivery lead-times are currently quite short and we also hold healthy levels of stock of security seal products here in the United Kingdom as a service to our customers. Our distribution centre in Essex is working with reduced staffing levels and shift patterns to ensure social distancing. Orders placed before 12 noon will be delivered on the next working day, as normal.

We continue to work closely with suppliers and our manufacturing plants to determine any potential impacts or delays, although these are now reducing and normalising.

The situation is still subject to change. We are continuing to provide updates as we learn more. Our contingency preparation as part of our ISO 9001 business resilience planning has operated very well throughout the crisis and helped us to continue to work safely, securely and with our normal level of customer service.

Unisto is committed to providing the superior service and support that our customers expect of our company and if we fall short of that, you have questions or concerns about the supply of our products do get in touch and we will be pleased to provide you with answers.

Thank you for your support through this difficult period.
